Simple pineapple

After moving to Bangalore I was very busy in getting settled and taking Treatment for my Hand. After the treatment I was better and completed my son's name doily.

I wanted to do many more thread works but I was not able to get Aunt Lydia's size 10 thread. Did some search on it and found that aunt Lydia's thread is not supplied in India. Only size 20 and size 40 threads are available in India.

There are few sites where we can order Aunt Lydia thread online, but shipping is very costly.

I wanted to first try the Anchor size 20 thread and started with this simple pineapple doily. I started this on 11th Apr. I completed all the rounds expect the last one on same day. I got busy with my son for couple of days and couldn't take this doily and complete it. At last completed in on 14th Apr........ Tamil New Year....

Size was not a big issue for me, but the thread was little rougher than Aunt Lydia's thread. So here is what I completed..

  2. Hi,
Is it possible to disable word verification from your blog. It is sometimes tedious :P
Did you find the pattern online or is it your own? Mind sharing ? ;-)
Also what is the hook size you have used for this?
    Thanks!

  3. I bought from surya emporium from commercial street. I didn't like his service, he is a very rude person... Otherwise he had few colors from Anchor size 20.... I used Susan bates size 7 needle...

    1. yes I agree. He's quite impatient. Initially they were very not co-operative. I spent quite some time in that shop. After sometime, the lady in the shop got friendly and then they were okay.

  4. I found this pattern at Walmart in US. In craft section they have few free patterns paper. I just picked it from there. I have made this pattern in yarn and in size 3 thread. It's so easy.. It should be available online too. I will look for it and add the link in my blog.
